1. What does Edison Tactical make?
We manufacture 100% USA-made tactical gear and accessories, including our patent-pending Pistol Optic Thermal Shield, designed to reduce heat transfer and extend the life of red-dot optics.
2. WTF is NKN?
NKN stands for Nomex-Kapton-Nomex, a 3-ply material developed by DuPont. It combines two layers of high-temperature Nomex insulation with a center layer of Kapton film, creating exceptional resistance to heat and electrical conduction. NKN is commonly used in aerospace and high-voltage electrical components where reliability under extreme conditions is critical. Edison Tactical is the first to repurpose this advanced insulating material to protect pistol optics from heat transfer, extending electronics and battery life in real-world shooting conditions.
