What is NKN?

A rugged 3-layer insulation stack:

• Nomex® outer layers: the same heat-resistant material used in aerospace, construction, military, marine, sports, and automotive industries.
• Kapton® core: aerospace-grade film built to survive extreme heat.

Together, these layers create a thin, strong thermal shield that keeps your red dot cooler while shooting.

RMSc / Holosun K Fitment Note
The Edison Tactical RMSc Thermal Shield fits both RMSc and Holosun K optics with no issues.

While the thermal shield works across both, the optics themselves aren’t always cross-compatible. RMSc and Holosun K footprints look similar but have small differences that can affect mounting.

The Shield RMS thermal shield is the same shape as RMSc, just 2mm wider.
