What is NKN?

A rugged 3-layer insulation stack:

• Nomex® outer layers: the same heat-resistant material used in aerospace, construction, military, marine, sports, and automotive industries.
• Kapton® core: aerospace-grade film built to survive extreme heat.

Together, these layers create a thin, strong thermal shield that keeps your red dot cooler while shooting.

The Shield RMS uses the same shape and screw-hole layout as the RMSc pattern, the only difference is that the RMS version is 2mm wider. This extra width still works for most RMSc-pattern optics because tolerances in the optic body or slide cut can vary slightly.

If you run an RMSc optic, the Shield RMS thermal shield is fully interchangeable.
